This tour is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues who requires a walking stick, walker or wheelchair or is unable to walk longer distances!
This tour includes climbing several steps and hills!
This excellent bible-based tour follows in the footsteps of Paul; roads and places he lived and visited in 1st Century Rome which are preserved down to our day! You do not need to purchase any entry tickets for this tour that is considered "the unmissable Bible experience"!
These locations are all referenced from the video “City of Rome'' from the English Study Bible/Book of Romans/Multimedia Gallery.
We will experience Rome the same way Paul did, thousands of years ago!
Tour Informations
SOUND OR VIDEO RECORDING DURING THE TOUR IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED!
Duration: 3 hours
Distance Travelled: walking tour of 3.4 kms (2.3 miles)
Group size: max. 30 or fewer
Meeting Point: set up on your GPS for (Circo Massimo Experience) close by the metro stop CIRCO MASSIMO
You will see your Tour Guide, Tony Barlocci, standing with the flag jw-rometours up!
Please allow enough time to arrive at our meeting point well in advance, especially on Fridays and on rainy days! Friday is the day of public transport strike, almost every month. Buses, subways, trams are often at risk from 9 am-5 pm, and catching a taxi in Rome in a strike or in a rainy day is nearly impossible. We suggest you allow enough time to arrive on foot or by rented electric scooter if public transportation is not available. Alternatively, you can also book a taxi or an Uber well in advance in order to avoid arriving at your meeting point too late and missing your tour.

This price is based on a minimum of 8 participants!
Usually between April and October I almost always reach the minimum number of participants. In the case of less than 8 participants, your tour may be cancelled and a full refund will be issued!

Requests for the same tour/date will automatically be combined into the same group booking.
A comparable 3-hour walking group tour in Rome, on booking platforms like TripAdvisor, Viator etc, with 30 people or fewer, costs an average of 50 euros per person. This is why my group tours will always be a fantastic deal! Moreover I m one of the few that includes insurance coverage for ALL customers, in the event of injuries incurred during the tour!
Booking and Cancellation Policy
Your tour fee is fully refundable only if cancellation occurs up to 7 days prior to your scheduled tour.
Within 7 days of your scheduled tour, the tour fee is non-refundable!
If a refund is applicable, I will instantly initiate the refund process by crediting the funds back (it takes 2-3 days) to the original payment method used at the booking. This occurs once your cancellation has been confirmed.
Check-in and Delay Policy
How to check in to your tour in two easy steps:
- Set up your GPS for the meeting point shown in this page. Please allow enough time to arrive at least 10 minutes ahead of the tour start time. Remember that if you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we will not be able to wait for you, and will have to begin our tour without you!
- Show the screenshot of your confirmed tour booking and proof of payment to your Tour Guide.
All that's left now is to enjoy your amazing tour!
Appian Way
THIS TOUR IS BY REQUEST, AND ONLY RUNS BETWEEN NOVEMBER AND MARCH INCLUSIVE (NOT SCHEDULED)!
Another amazing Biblical location, which is not included in any other tour, is the archaeological park of the Appian Way (3.5 miles from the city centre).
I can organize an unforgettable 2 1/2 hours walking tour, to discover the highlights of this incredible place which is mentioned in several Watchtowers.
We will visit the following historical artifacts preserved down to our day: villas with mosaics, many ancient tombs, street signs and mile markers that are preserved all the way from Paul’s day in Rome, and even admire the same vegetation that Paul would have admired.
Join me on this exciting journey to trace the Apostle Paul’s footsteps immersed in an atmosphere from another era!

Catacombs
Why do we not include the Catacombs in our Bible tours?
The answer is in this article cited below. The Catacombs are not at all related to the history of the pure, early Witnesses! However, from a strictly historical point of view, they are very interesting.
If you want to visit the Catacombs we suggest: SAN CALLISTO or SAN SEBASTIANO.
A guided tour of 45 or 60 minutes hosted by their own internal Catholic guides is always included in your entry ticket price!
After you complete your Catacombs of the Appian Way tour, you could add our 3 hour Appian way Bible Tour, which starts in the same area, not far from there!

If anyone gets the chance go on this tour! You’ll realise some of the common misconceptions about certain things are not as first believed. TRULY AMAZING TOUR AND WORTH TRAVELLING TO ROME JUST FOR THAT ALONE! It was the only one tour we were able to get on due to being booked up, but it was a revealing of Bible truths!
